La Motte Chardonnay 2002
This wine shows a beautiful balance between wood flavours and the flavours of dried orange peel and peanuts. It is round and silky-soft on the palate, with a lingering fresh sensation in the aftertaste.

Aniseed, black currant and violet on the nose. The palate shows additional black olive and bay leaf flavours. More savoury than fruity, this deep ruby coloured wine has a medium to full-bodied palate, with a mouth-filling peppery finish.

The wine has a deep crimson colour and is concentrated, with soft, ripe tannins. Bouquet of dark chocolate and truffles. Lingering aftertaste. The classic claret.

A fine balance between tropical flavours such as litchi and pineapple and the greener aromas of green pepper and lemon grass. Velvety soft, though refreshing, with lingering gooseberry aftertaste.

The wine has a deep colour, with well-integrated ripe Cabernet Sauvignon and wood-ageing flavours. Tannins are soft and well-concentrated. There is an extraordinary mouthfeel and lingering aftertaste.

The wine has a deep crimson red colour and is extremely well balanced. With its mineral flavours and complex bouquet of blackberries, chocolate and peppery spice, the finish is pleasing, with soft tannins and a lingering after-taste. The classic Claret. La Motte Millennium 1997 complements any sumptuous meal. This fine wine is best served with red meats, game, pot roasts, venison and noble, mature cheese.
La Motte Limited Release Chardonnay 1998
La Motte Chardonnay is only made in exceptional years. This creamy Chardonnay with its bouquet of citrus and fresh almonds has a superb mid-palate of buttery vanilla and a lingering finish. Essentially a fine-food wine. Excellent with caviar, snails, carpaccio, pate, crayfish (Cape rock lobster), prawns, mussels, perlemoen (abalone) and creamy cheese.
La Motte Blance Fumé 2000
Fresh style, with less wood than previous vintages. Beautiful figs and Sauvignon Blanc freshness on the after-taste, with ripe gooseberry and rich vanilla finish. Excellent food wine. Perfect companion to mussel soup, bouillabaisse, seafood and white-meat dishes. Also preferred to accompany red-meat courses.
